Question 1

How do I get PinkyBond?

Accepted Answer

Download PinkyBond free from the App Store or Google Play. Your partner needs to invite you from PinkyBloom first. Once invited, pair via QR code in person (60 seconds) and you're ready to go.

Question 2

Does my partner need PinkyBloom?

Accepted Answer

Yes. PinkyBond is a companion app that connects to PinkyBloom. She uses PinkyBloom to track her cycle. She invites you to pair. You use PinkyBond to receive context. Both apps are free.

Question 3

How does QR code pairing work?

Accepted Answer

She displays a QR code in PinkyBloom. You scan it with PinkyBond. Then you display your QR code and she scans it. Both devices exchange encryption keys directly — no server is contacted. It takes about 60 seconds.

Question 4

Do I need to create an account?

Accepted Answer

No. PinkyBond doesn’t require a phone number, email, or account. Pairing is done via QR code. Your identity is a cryptographic key, not a username.

Question 5

What information do I see about my partner?

Accepted Answer

You see her current health context — cycle phase, pregnancy trimester, postpartum recovery stage, or menopause symptom patterns — plus mood summary, energy level, and AI-translated insights. You do NOT see raw symptoms, journal entries, AI conversations, voice recordings, or medical data.

Question 6

How are the phase predictions made?

Accepted Answer

Predictions are estimates computed on her phone from her own logged history. For pregnancy, it uses her due date. For menopause, it tracks symptom patterns.

Question 7

What are gesture cards?

Accepted Answer

Gesture cards are one-tap actions suggested based on her current stage, energy level, and time of day. They adapt to her life stage — comfort gestures during her luteal phase, practical help during pregnancy, recovery support postpartum, and patience-focused gestures during menopause. There are 60+ gestures across all stages.

Question 8

What are bridge messages?

Accepted Answer

Bridge messages are AI-drafted messages that translate her state into emotional context. For example: “I’m feeling tired today and could use a quiet evening.” She reviews and approves every bridge message before you see it. She decides what to share.

Question 9

What life stages does PinkyBond support?

Accepted Answer

PinkyBond adapts to whatever stage she’s in: menstrual cycle tracking, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause. Her dashboard in PinkyBloom determines what you see in PinkyBond — it switches automatically.

Question 10

How does the dashboard change for different stages?

Accepted Answer

During her cycle, you see phase information and cycle-specific gestures. During pregnancy, you see trimester updates, baby milestones, and pregnancy-specific gesture cards. Postpartum shows recovery milestones. Perimenopause and menopause show symptom patterns and wellness trends.

Question 11

What if she switches modes?

Accepted Answer

When she switches life stages in PinkyBloom, your PinkyBond dashboard updates automatically. You’ll see new context relevant to her current stage. No action needed from you.

Question 12

What do I see during her pregnancy?

Accepted Answer

During pregnancy, PinkyBond shows you: current trimester and week, baby size milestones, her energy and mood levels, and pregnancy-specific gesture suggestions. You never see her symptoms, medical data, or journal entries.

Question 13

How does menopause mode work?

Accepted Answer

When she’s in menopause mode, PinkyBond shows symptom trends (like hot flash frequency), wellness patterns, mood and energy levels, and menopause-specific gesture cards focused on temperature comfort, patience, and emotional support.

Question 14

Is my partner’s data encrypted?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Everything the two of you share is encrypted on the phone using AES-256-GCM with Curve25519 ECDH key exchange before it is sent. It reaches our server only as encrypted blobs it cannot decrypt. We use Apple’s CryptoKit on iPhone and Google’s Tink on Android.

Question 15

Can PinkyBond read my partner’s data?

Accepted Answer

Question 16

What is Safety Mode?

Accepted Answer

Safety Mode is a feature in PinkyBloom that sends synthetic (fake) neutral data to PinkyBond. The partner sees normal-looking updates but the data is fabricated. Safety Mode is undetectable and can be toggled instantly. It exists to protect against intimate partner threats.

Question 17

Can she stop sharing at any time?

Accepted Answer

Yes. She can pause sharing (you’re not notified), activate Safety Mode (sends fake data), or revoke the pairing permanently with one tap.

Question 18

How much does PinkyBond cost?

Accepted Answer

Nothing. PinkyBond is free, and so is PinkyBloom. If you subscribed before 10 September 2026, that subscription is no longer needed and can be cancelled in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play; you keep full access either way.

Question 19

I subscribed before it was free. How do I cancel?

Accepted Answer

On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions. On Android: the Play Store app → your profile → Payments and subscriptions. Cancelling does not reduce what you can do in PinkyBond.

Question 20

Is there a catch — ads, or data selling?

Accepted Answer

No. PinkyBond has no ads and we do not sell data. See the privacy policy for what we do and do not collect.
